Digital technology is changing how young people learn, communicate, find opportunities and participate in society. Yet access to technology alone does not guarantee that girls will have the knowledge, confidence or skills to use it safely and effectively.
Empower Her equips adolescent girls and young women with practical digital literacy, financial skills and leadership capacity so they can make informed decisions, navigate online spaces safely and take greater control of their futures.
The program views girls not simply as users of technology but as potential creators, advocates and leaders. Through skills development and meaningful engagement, Empower Her encourages participants to use digital spaces as tools for learning, connection, opportunity and positive change.
The Challenge We Are Addressing
Girls and young women can face barriers that limit their ability to benefit from the digital economy. Limited digital skills, financial knowledge and awareness of online rights can make it harder to recognize opportunities or protect themselves online.
At the same time, online spaces can expose young people to harassment, exploitation, misinformation, privacy risks and other forms of digital harm.
Empower Her responds by combining practical skills with conversations about digital safety, financial decision-making, rights and leadership.

Participants are encouraged to think critically about the information they encounter online, understand how their digital choices affect their privacy and safety and identify ways technology can support their education, work and aspirations.
We want girls to enter digital spaces knowing their rights, understanding their responsibilities and believing that they have a place at the table.
